Being a follower is being content with just being average. No matter what anyone tells you, no matter what you read, if you want to get somewhere in life, you cannot be like everyone else. There are plenty of books out there that can give you an idea of what to do and potentially even how to do it; but, at the end of the day you have to blaze your own trail.

DARE TO BE DIFFERENT

Why do you feel like you have to settle for average like the rest of your peers of members of your family like your mother, father, brother, sister, aunt or uncle? They have their own lives; live yours. Why is it that you want to do what’s always been done…?

…because it’s easy; because the road has already been paved? Forget that. Find out what it is that YOU do best and find a way to monetize it. It’s that simple. In the Information Age that we live in, all the knowledge in the world is at your fingertips – so learn, and keep learning.

Know this, whatever you’re passionate about there are hundreds of thousands of people who are as well. Capitalize on that. Fact:  There is value to finding out what worked for someone else; but simply use that as a model. But make no mistake – do it your way. This is what will set you a part. So ask yourself, what makes you different?
